Gentex Ships Automatic-Dimming Mirrors for Toyota Sienna

ZEELAND, Mich., May 7 Gentex Corporation, the Zeeland,
Michigan-based manufacturer of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors and
commercial fire protection products, is shipping interior automatic-dimming
mirrors for the 2001 Toyota Sienna. The Sienna is the first non-domestic
minivan model to feature a Gentex mirror.

Gentex's Night Vision Safety(TM) (NVS(R)) Mirrors are an active crash-
avoidance safety feature. They automatically darken to reduce glare from the
headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the
darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safer.

The Gentex interior automatic-dimming mirror comes in a popular
convenience package on the Sienna XLE, and is also available on the CE and LE.
The mirror features a built-in electronic compass display that utilizes
Johnson Controls' PathPoint(R) Digital Compass System.

"The Sienna is not only one of the most popular minivans available, but it
also consistently ranks as one of the safest minivans on the road today," said
Ken La Grand, Gentex's executive vice president. "We're proud to be on that
vehicle, helping make nighttime driving even safer."

The Sienna scored better in Insurance Institute for Highway Safety overall
crash tests than any other minivan they tested. The National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration (NHTSA) also awarded the minivan five stars -- its
highest rating -- for driver and front-passenger safety.
