Logikos, Inc. Named Small Business of the Year
FORT WAYNE, Ind.--May 7, 2001--Logikos, Inc. has been named "2000 Small Business of the Year" by the Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce.Chamber President Phil Laux presented the award to Logikos during the "Meet Me at 5" portion of this year's Business Expo.
"Logikos represents a terrific local growth story in an industry that we are trying to attract more companies from -- the technology business," says Laux. "The owners have been very involved with the Chamber and we are very appreciative of everything they have done for northeast Indiana."
Logikos president Darwin Dahlgren says the award was a wonderful surprise. "We are very honored to be chosen by the Chamber for this award. It's a testimony to the hard work of the entire Logikos team."
The company started out as a home business in 1978 and has grown to become a major player in the customized computer software and systems analysis industry. The company now employees 62 employees and expects to gross more than $7 million this year.
Logikos is also involved in a variety of economic growth efforts and is a member at the Leadership Level of the Indiana Technology Partnership. "We are committed to helping the growth of technology in this area," says Mike Fritsch, vice president of business development and chairman of the Indiana Technology Partnership-Northeast. "By helping others succeed, we can foster a better economic climate for all."
Logikos, Inc. focuses on developing software for clients' electronic products in markets such as automotive, medical, and consumer electronics. The company recently announced the formation of its Infotronics unit, which focuses on technologies that provide information access through the use of portable electronic devices, creating "Knowledge.
