J.B. Hunt Recognizes First Quarter 2001 Safe Drivers

    LOWELL, Ark.--May 7, 2001--J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. , one of the largest transportation logistics companies in North America, announced its first quarter 2001 one- and two-million mile safe drivers. Fifty-one drivers were recognized recently at a celebration evening at the company's headquarters in Lowell, Ark.
    J.B. Hunt rewards driver safety by recognizing those who drive one million safe miles with a cash award of $5,000. Drivers reaching two million safe miles with the company receive $10,000, and drivers reaching three million safe miles with the company receive $20,000. Currently J.B. Hunt has 817 one-million mile drivers, 31 two-million mile drivers and two three-million mile drivers on the road today.
    "It is always a pleasure to recognize the drivers who are setting the safety standard for others," said Kirk Thompson, company president and CEO. "Their achievements underscore our long-standing commitment to safe driving."
    J.B. Hunt drivers reaching the two-million safe miles mark during the first quarter are: Edward Bohaty, Frank Haar and Denver Hollars.
