Ford Extends Use of Tecnomatix Software in Its Virtual Manufacturing Initiative

Tecnomatix e-Manufacturing software to
reduce costs and improve quality
Tecnomatix Technologies, Ltd. , a leading provider of e-Manufacturing Engineering software solutions, today announced that the Ford Motor Company has placed an order for Tecnomatix eMPower Assembly solution. A Tecnomatix customer for more than ten years, Ford is now expanding its use of eMPower in order to reduce costs and improve product and process design. Ford selected the eMPower Assembly solution to support its Virtual Manufacturing process.
Ford will implement the Tecnomatix e-Manufacturing Server (eMS) to store and manage manufacturing process simulation information. Providing an integrated, collaborative environment with Web access to product and process data, the eMS supports multi-users, ensures that everyone is working on the latest version, eliminates duplication of data and work, and facilitates standardization on best practices throughout the enterprise.
