CART: Max Wilson driving his first laps at Nazareth

“This morning we had a little bit of oversteer so we made some changes between the two practice sessions. Then, to test out our changes, we went back on track and did several laps on the same set of tires. It worked as we did a decent time and our times were consistent.

Then, we went back out on new tires and my times improved another 2/10's so I think we will have a consistent race car for Sunday's race. Nazareth is a small and challenging track. Turn Two is a little bumpy but I am looking forward to my first oval race here at Nazareth Speedway.”

Mark Morgan, Team Manager on this morning’s results:

“The car ran really well this morning. We didn't have a chance to test here so we used a lot of the morning session for testing. We had the most laps on the track throughout the day compared to all of the other competitors. Max became comfortable very quickly and we are all pleased with his performance. We made a lot of progress this afternoon. “

On Sunday's race:

"The keys to Sunday's race are strategy and track position. I think that we can do very well on Sunday. The team has really come together as a group through these first two races. Our strategy is in place and I think with a little bit of luck and Max's driving talent we can take it to the finish."

The next CART practice session is Saturday morning at 9:30 am EDT with qualifying for the Lehigh Valley Grand Prix starting at 1:30 pm EDT. The race will be Sunday at 1:00 pm EDT and will be broadcast live on ABC (check your local listings.)
