ARCA RE/MAX: Steele Stalks Gateway Gold With Old Milwaukee Pole Award

MADISON IL - Three-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Tim Steele, in the HS Die-Softech Ford, won the Old Milwaukee Pole Award here Friday at Gateway Int'l Raceway breaking his own one-lap track record with a speed of 133.745 mph. It was Steele's 15th career superspeedway pole award and 28th of his career overall.

Jason Jarrett, in only his sixth RE/MAX Series start, will join Steele in row one for Saturday's Gateway ARCA 150 with a speed of 133.231. Current point leader Frank Kimmel, who was quickest in practice, qualified third at 133.026 ahead of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran Rick Carelli at 133.006 and Winston Cup/Busch Series veteran Ed Berrier at 132.971 to complete the top-five. Saturday's Gateway ARCA 150 rolls off at 5 PM CT.
