USF Red Star Receives "Benchmark Carrier" Award From Ciba Specialty Chemicals Additives Division
NEWARK, N.J.--May 4, 2001--USF Red Star Inc., a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corporation, has been awarded the "Benchmark Carrier" award by Ciba Specialty Chemicals Additives Division This award is presented only after a company has been named "Partner Of Choice" for three year in a row. USF Red Star is the first LTL carrier to be so honored. Joseph Cauchi, Ciba's Director of Logistics, presented the award to USF Red Star at a recent meeting in Mobile, Alabama.Brad Jones, President of USF Red Star, commented, "To meet the rigorous "Partner Of Choice" qualifications of Ciba Additives for three consecutive years indicates the consistency of our premium service and the depth of commitment on the part of our employees.
