TOWSON, Md. --The DEWALT Power Tools Racing team is trading in their trademark yellow and black colors and giving fans a chance to design the paint scheme for the 2002 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season.
This is not the first time DEWALT has changed the look of the No. 17 Ford Taurus. They have as many as four different paint schemes in the works for this year alone -- commemorating their 2001 product launch.
"Allowing the fans to design the paint scheme will generate excitement, " stated Jon Howland, Motorsports Manager for DEWALT Power Tools. "It's an opportunity for them to get creative and we're sure they'll come up with some pretty innovative designs. As a primary sponsor in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series, we want our fans to know we are interested in their opinions. Race fans are the most brand loyal people in the world, so we are interested to see what they are going to come up with."
Winners will receive two tickets and pit passes to any 2002 Winston Cup race of their choice, and a 1:24 scale diecast car. The winning design may be selected as DEWALT Racing's primary paint scheme for the 2002 season.

This year will be an exciting time for DEWALT as it offers its largest product launch ever -- even greater than the initial product line introduction.
