ATP's Modern Plastic Technics Announces Opening Of New Injection Molding Facility in Mexico

    WEST BERLIN, N.J., May 3 Modern Plastic Technics, an
Applied Tech Products company that specializes in custom-designed injection
molded components for the electronics and telecommunications industries, has
announced the opening of ATP de Mexico, S.A., a new manufacturing and assembly
facility in Chihuahua, Mexico.
    The 11,000 square-foot facility on a five-acre site will initially house
five injection molding machines and employ approximately 25 people in
production and assembly.  Molds will be provided by Modern Plastic's
engineering group in West Berlin, the company's headquarters and principal
manufacturing facility.
    Robert Piccoli, president, said the initial focus of the new facility will
be to serve the needs of Modern Plastic's major customers with operations in
Mexico, together with global companies in the electronics, automotive and
telecommunications sectors. He noted that ATP de Mexico, S.A. will also serve
the needs of six other ATP companies serving global markets in engineered
plastics and health and beauty care.
