Karts International Unveils 'Superkart' Prototype

ROSELAND, La., May 2 Karts International Incorporated (OTC Bulletin Board: KINT), one of the
largest manufacturers of recreational go-karts in the United States, recently
unveiled a new prototype kart gauged to re-assert its dominance as the
industry's innovation leader.

Charles Brister, Karts International's Chairman and an acknowledged
industry safety and innovation leader comments - "This new product raises the
bar in our industry in terms of safety, performance and supportability. The
product is not just another go-kart. It's modular design and safety advances
truly put it in a category by itself. We're still scratching our heads on
what to call it. It really is a 'superkart.' I'm thrilled to see the company
carrying on the innovation and safety focus started by my father so many years
ago."
The prototype unit pictured above features a high-performance electric
start motorcycle engine coupled with a modular drive train. The full-
suspension frame boasts fully independent front suspension and four-link,
swing-arm, fully adjustable rear suspension. The distinctive styling is
complimented by a custom molded racing-style support seat, ATV style tires, a
unique oval brush-cage, and a 4-point harness safety restraint system.
The prototype unit will be the first production unit to feature Karts
International's licensed safety gas cap system. As previously announced, the
safety gas cap disables engine operation in the event that the gas cap becomes
unseated during engine operation, or is improperly installed. An additional
safety feature is the continuously variable transmission (CVT), which is speed
and torque sensitive. This increases the unit's mobility while providing
exceptional controllability on a wide variety of surface types and grades.
With rack and pinion steering and a hydraulic disc braking system, the package
offers a thrilling adventure ride with superior acceleration and a short
stopping profile.
President and Chief Executive Officer Tim BenHarold commented, "Our desire
with this product is to turn the fun karts industry on its ear. With the
fruition of this design, we're halfway there. Our new automated factory will
enable us to ensure consistency in our production processes and offer a
kick-butt product every time. This new product will provide our customers
with a superior experience never before offered in the karting industry.
We've made some great headway, and I look forward to shipping this product."
The new kart design was first revealed at the International Power Sports
Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana in late February. Final product research
and development is ongoing with initial product shipment projected to being in
July 2001. The prototype kart, which will form the basis of a new product
line, was designed and engineered using the latest three-dimensional computer
modeling software.
