Team Jeg's Pro Stock Truck program has been extremely busy in their state-of-the-art R&D facility since returning from the race in Las Vegas. The team has acquired new machinery for the shop and the in-house engine program is off and running.
Everyone involved understands that there is a learning curve with this new project. However, the team has set their goals high. The program is committed and focused on the big picture and they understand that things don't happen overnight.
"The guys have really been busy getting ready for Atlanta. All of our engines have been rebuilt and a number of changes have been made to them. I am looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the Jeg's Chevy S-10 and seeing all of the hard work pay off," said Mike.
"I really enjoy racing at Atlanta Dragway and always have. There is a new burst of energy and excitement with our program and that is exciting to be a part of," commented John.
The NHRA Advanced Auto Parts Nationals will mark the fifth race for the Pro Stock Truck class this season. Mike Coughlin is ready to strike and return to the top ten. He is in the No. 12 position with 126 points and is three points away from the top ten. John Coughlin is resting in 23rd spot with 51 points. A strong performance at Atlanta Dragway can move John into the No. 10 slot.
