Porsche Cars North America Reports April Sales

    ATLANTA, May 1 Porsche Cars North America (PCNA), importer
and distributor of Porsche sports cars in the United States and Canada, today
announced U.S. April sales.  Retail sales for the month totaled 2388 cars, an
increase of 15 percent over the same period last year.  Year-to-date sales are
up by 8 percent.  In addition, PCNA has sold more Porsches (including Canada
sales) in the first four months of 2001 than in any Jan.-April period in its
history.  This result follows record increases in January and February.
