the pci group Presents Project Management Best Practices Forum 2001

TROY, Mich.--May 1, 2001--the pci group (pci) will again sponsor the annual Project Management Best Practices Forum.
The forum targets industry leaders interested in enhancing their competitive edge by understanding current best practices in program management and determining how their organizations meet these standards. As a leader in delivering innovative business and program management solutions, pci has taken the lead in bringing national and international participants together from across various industries to learn effective best practices implementation. By doing so, organizations will enhance the efficiency of their program management activities resulting in a greater competitive advantage and bottom line savings.
The Project Management Best Practices Forum 2001, will be held October 4 - 5 at the historic Meadow Brook Hall located at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Eric Verzuh, author of The Fast Forward MBA in Project Management, will be the keynote speaker. This year, pci has partnered with The American Productivity and Quality Council (APQC), a nationally known organization recognized for its research on benchmarking and best practices, to specifically benchmark project management practices. From this comprehensive benchmarking study, best practices will be identified and associated with project management success.
As part of the forum, participants will receive the Best Practices survey results as well as copies of speakers' presentations and a compilation of all break out session notes. Participants will also receive up to 14 Professional Development Units (PDUs) for attending this important forum. According to Denis Couture, President of the pci group, "pci's focus in presenting this annual forum is to utilize the expertise of industry leaders in project management, along with benchmarked project management best practices, to enhance their organizations' understanding of where they are now...and where they should be to gain that competitive edge." Couture added, "this forum provides greater awareness of the effectiveness of project management solutions and the ability to realize bottom line breakthroughs. The cornerstone of pci is to optimize clients' people, time and money to go beyond business as usual and we believe that pci's Project Management Best Practices Forum 2001 supports this philosophy by providing organizations with best practices' solutions."
