Four Dana Operations Honored by General Motors as Suppliers of the Year

TOLEDO, Ohio, April 30 Dana Corporation today
announced that four of its divisions have been named as Suppliers of the Year
by General Motors Corporation for their superior performance in quality,
service, technology, and price. The awards were presented during ceremonies
Saturday at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.

GM recognized the following Dana operations:

    * Sealing Products Group - which consists of Dana's Victor Reinz and
Plumley divisions in North America - for excellence in mechanical
      sealing;
    * FTE automotive Division in Germany, for hydraulic clutch and actuation
      systems; and
    * Wix Filtration Products Europe for filtration and powertrain sealing.

It was the repeat win for Wix Europe and the sixth year that FTE, Victor
Reinz, and Plumley were honored with the award.

"Dana represents the best of the best, and it has set an example during
the past year for other companies to follow," said Bo Andersson, executive in
charge, GM Worldwide Purchasing. "It is a role model, and it is an honor to
work with a company so committed to supporting our priorities for quality,
launch, and a balance between current and future business."

Dana Chairman and CEO Joe Magliochetti said, "It is a tremendous honor to
be recognized by General Motors as a supplier of the year. This is really a
tribute to the Dana people, who have provided leadership in quality and
technology while providing exceptional service to one of our largest
customers."

The GM supplier of the year award began as a global program in 1992.
Award winners were selected by a global team of executives from purchasing,
engineering, manufacturing, and logistics who based their decisions on
supplier performance in quality, service, technology and price. This year,
General Motors honored 165 suppliers from 20 countries for their excellence
throughout 2000.
