FAIRFIELD, NJ- Billy Asaro, driver of the Key Motorsports/Pops/Bellville Rodair U.S. Formula 2000 car, will be a special guest at a presentation of the racing movie Driven on Monday, April 30. The film, starring Sylvester Stallone, was shot last year on location at several race events, including the Molson Indy Toronto, at which Asaro won the Formula Ford 1600 race in 1999.

The nineteen-year-old Unionville/Markham, Ontario, resident will be at the the Coliseum theaters at Scarborough City Center for a special screening presented by motorsport collectibles shop, Toronto Motorsports. Joining Asaro to greet the audience and sign autographs will be fellow U.S. F2000 competitor JW Urlin and Formula 1200 racer Ashley Taws.

"I'm looking forward to the movie," said Billy. "I saw them filming some stuff at the Molson Indy last year and it will be interesting to see how it looks. I've raced on that circuit and am curious to see how it translates on screen. The only drawback is I'm in the middle of a six-week break in the race schedule and I'm really craving to get back in the race car. Watching a racing movie might get me a bit fired up."

Asaro is off to a great start in the 2001 U.S. F2000 series. With three races in the books, he has a win and a second to currently rank third in the National Championship while he leads the Road To Indy Oval Crown Championship. At the last race on April 8, 2001, Asaro was victorious at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and set a new race lap record in the process. The next U.S. F2000 races will be May 19 and 20, at Watkins Glen, New York.

Asaro and the other drivers will be in the front lobby of the Coliseum Cinemas at Scarborough City Center (McCowan and Highway 401) from 6:15pm until the movie begins at 7:00.
