Accuride Canada Achieves ISO 14001 Certification

EVANSVILLE, Ind. and LONDON, Ontario, Canada--April 27, 2001--Accuride Corporation, North America's only manufacturer and supplier of both steel and forged aluminum heavy/medium wheels, announced that its London, Ontario, Canada facility has achieved ISO 14001 certification.
"Achieving ISO 14001 registration positions Accuride as an environmental leader and demonstrates our commitment to operate our facilities in an environmentally responsible manner," explained Bruce Henderson, Accuride's Director of Environment, Health and Safety Operations.
ISO 14001 is a voluntary international standard that establishes and maintains a facility-specific Environmental Management System (EMS). Elements of ISO 14001 include the identification of environmental initiatives, establishing targets and objectives for related activities and the application of a measurement system that evaluates progress. ISO 14001 also incorporates continuous improvement principles that allow the standard to be integrated into the overall business management process.
