Environmental Solutions Worldwide Launches New Industrial Duty Converter Line, Air Sentinel

MARKHAM, Ontario--April 26, 2001--Environmental Solutions Worldwide, Inc., (ESW) (OTCBB:ESWW), a company that develops, manufactures and markets advanced environmental technologies, today announced the introduction of Air Sentinel(TM), a new line of catalytic converters and catalytic silencers, specifically engineered for industrial stationary engines. The Air Sentinel products are based on ESW's patented, and patent pending catalyst technologies.
The Air Sentinel's patent pending catalytic core technology (the substrate), is made from a woven metal alloy fabric. The Company believes that this core system is unlike any other large catalytic core systems on the market today. The Air Sentinel catalytic substrate is the only catalytic core, which is physically constructed and catalytically treated simultaneously. This manufacturing process makes it possible to build high quality substrates in very large formats with diameters ranging from 12 inches to 6 feet and finished converter lengths exceeding 8 feet.
ESW's Chief Operating Officer Dave Johnson explained, "Based on the recent success of the USA.NET sale and recognizing the potential opportunity in this marketplace, the Air Sentinel line was formally developed by ESW with the purpose of being aggressively marketed to larger sized industrial engine operators. Air Sentinel is specifically designed to provide emissions control for engines with specifications ranging from several hundred to several thousand horsepower. Air Sentinel is directed toward this lucrative marketplace."
Johnson added, "ESW has taken an additional step toward its ongoing commitment to develop, promote and deploy its catalytic products. We are, and intend to continue adding to the Company's depth, by developing and marketing new product lines such as Air Sentinel. Utilizing its gas and diesel catalytic converter technologies, ESW is armed with a series of catalyst packages it intends to aggressively take to the market. Starting with small engines, then developing light automotive applications, and most recently expanding to industrial duty engines, ESW markets a diverse line of catalytic converter packages for internal combustion engines."
Globally, industrial engines are used in heavy-duty machinery applications such as power generators, irrigation pumps and pipeline compressor stations. Numerous diesel power generation and standby generator systems of all sizes have been installed across Europe, the Far East and North America; over 150,000 units exist in the US alone. Applications for such equipment include utilities, hospitals, airports, emergency services, government and military facilities, Internet services, oil companies, construction and industry. Johnson further stated, "That, with continuous regulatory pressure to protect and improve air quality, new and existing industrial engine installations are being increasingly required to install exhaust emissions control equipment."
