Freudenberg-NOK Wins Toyota, NUMMI and DENSO Awards
PLYMOUTH, Mich., April 26 Freudenberg-NOK recently scored
a hat-trick of achievement -- winning awards from three key customers: Toyota
Motor Manufacturing North America, New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. (NUMMI)
and DENSO International America.
"It's an honor to be chosen by three customers like Toyota, NUMMI and
DENSO, known for world-class excellence, in recognition of our quality and
service as a Technology Specialist," said Stephen M. Philippart, vice
president of Freudenberg-NOK's automotive sales and marketing. "These awards
truly serve as a testament to our employees, technical depth and ongoing
commitment to lean systems."
Toyota presented the Bristol, N.H. facility with a Certificate of
Achievement for quality and delivery, while the LaGrange, Ga. facility
received a Certificate of Achievement for quality for the axle seals it
produces. This is the first year the company has received this award.
NUMMI, the Toyota-General Motors joint venture, honored Freudenberg-NOK's
LaGrange plant with a Certificate of Achievement in the areas of quality and
delivery.
In addition, DENSO recognized the LaGrange facility with an Achievement
Award for distinguished performance and appreciation of extraordinary
cooperation and highly valued service. The facility was also recognized for
partnering on value analysis/value engineering and lean systems to drive waste
from the supply chain.
These awards add to a string of quality awards for the company.
Freudenberg-NOK was recently honored with the Ford Motor Co. World Excellence
Award and has been named the "Best of Best" for sealing systems by Automotive
Industries magazine for the past two years.
