Kauffman Tire Launches Online Store
NORCROSS, Ga.--April 26, 2001--BravePoint, e-Business Expert, Helps Treadepot.com Achieve e-Goals
Kauffman Tire and BravePoint, a leading provider of e-business and enterprise solutions, today announced the grand opening of the new-and-improved Treadepot.com, Kauffman's online tire and wheel store.
The two Atlanta-based companies joined forces in December 2000 to develop a more powerful site that would interface with their back-end system.
"We have a long-standing relationship with BravePoint and trusted them to get our solution up and running quickly," said Vice President Mark Kauffman. "On time and on budget, they created a robust customer site and also laid the foundation for a B2B version of the system."
Treadepot.com customers can now search the Treadepot inventory, place orders and submit feedback online. The Treadepot e-commerce system, which integrates with existing back-end inventory and point-of-sale system, automatically calculates costs--including delivery and insurance costs--notifies the customer of order placement and shipment time, sends an order to the warehouse, relieves inventory and processes credit card payments in real time.
"Using our proven Webpro EX(TM) solution, we swiftly transitioned Treadepot.com's current distribution system to the Web, allowing customers a fast and easy way to shop for and purchase tires online," said John Harlow, President of BravePoint. "Our human factors and design team ensured that we delivered an intuitive user interface with a distinctive look and feel for Treadepot."
