New Appointments at Autoliv
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 26 Autoliv -- the
worldwide leader in automotive safety systems -- has appointed Hans-Goeran
Patring, 51, Deputy Vice President, Human Resources to become Vice President
of that function when the current VP of Human Resources Claes Humbla retires
in January next year.
Currently, Mr. Patring is the Group Vice President of Human Resources of
the Global Automation Division at ABB based in Zurich Switzerland.
Previously, he was the VP of Human Resources for ABB's Robotics Business,
having been based in the UK for three years and before that in Sweden.
Hans-Goeran Patring will start his employment with Autoliv in September.
Hannes Wadell, 30, has been appointed Treasurer of Autoliv Inc.
Hannes started with Autoliv as an Assistant Treasurer in the company's
newly formed treasury department in 1999. He held previous positions in the
Treasury Department of the office supply company Esselte, including Group
Treasurer.
The position of Treasurer has until now been held by Autoliv's CFO, Hans
Bioerck.
Autoliv Inc. develops and manufactures automotive safety systems for all
major automotive manufacturers in the world. Together with its joint ventures
Autoliv has close to 80 facilities with almost 30,000 employees in more than
30 vehicle-producing countries. In addition, the company has
eight technical centers around the world, including 19 test tracks, more than
any other automotive safety supplier. Sales in 2000 amounted to US
$4.1 billion and net income to US $170 million. The company's shares are
listed on the New York Stock Exchange and its Swedish Depositary
Receipts on the OM Stockholm Stock Exchange (SSE: ALIV).
