April 25, 2001"From the very first time we went to California Speedway I fell in love with the place. I just love racing there. It is a first class facility and a great place to race. We haven't necessarily finished as well as we would like, but I still love going there. We've run the truck race a couple of times and always run the Winston West race. We've also got some really close friends not far from the track and Ann and I take advantage of the trip to visit with them."--Ken Schrader
Schrader's California Highlights...
The "M&M's"® Racing Team spent the winter building several new cars for use in 2001. The Newt Moore-led team will debut one of the newly constructed "M&M's"® Pontiacs this weekend at California.
Where are Red, Yellow and Green? To promote its newest candy brand, Snickers Cruncher, M&M/MARS, Inc. has a special paint scheme this weekend at California Speedway. The "M" Characters are taking a one-week break while the No. 36 displays the chocolate and caramel colors on the Snickers Cruncher wrapper.
There is never a break for Winston Cup veteran for Ken Schrader when it comes to racing as either a job or a hobby. Schrader will pull double duty this weekend, driving a Schrader Racing entry in Saturday's Winston West race. Schrader has run the event four times and has one win, two seconds and a pole position.
