Mike Skinner, No. 31 Lowe's Chevrolet Monte Carlo: "The Lowe's Chevy was bad to the bone at the beginning. It was just awesome. We tried different grooves on the track but had problems finding one that was better than another. But you just had to go where you could get at the time. I have no complaints. The car didn't need a single adjustment all day long. We just smacked four tires on it each time and kept going.

"We had a nice, safe race. That was the most important thing. Lots of people have wondered what would happen on the track today, but we had no problems. Maybe that will satisfy a lot of people. NASCAR has done a good job with the rules. They've spent a lot of time working in that department and what they got today was a fun, safe race with lots of lead changes.

"The Lowe's team did their job, to. I couldn't have asked for a better racecar all day. When we got out front, we could really pull the pack along. The Lowe's Chevy was strong every lap and my hat's off to these guys."
