ARCA RE/MAX: Steele wins Winchester war

WINCHESTER, IN - Tim Steele, in the HS Die-Softech Ford, capitalized on the late-race misfortunes of Frank Kimmel to win Sunday afternoon's ARCA RE/MAX 250 at Winchester Speedway. Steele was trailing Kimmel by 2 lengths with less than 50 laps remaining when Kimmel cut down a right-front in turn one.

Steele turned hard left to miss Kimmel's machine as it careened off the wall and from there stayed ahead of Jeff Finley to earn his 38th career ARCA RE/MAX Series victory, and fourth ARCA win at Winchester. Finley, in the John Bailey Excavating Chevrolet, held on for second ahead of Andy Belmont, Billy Venturini and Vern Slagh to complete the top-five consecutively. Kimmel limped home in 11th.
