AAA Missouri Deploys FileNET Acenza Insurance eBusiness Solution to Process Auto Insurance Applications

    COSTA MESA, Calif.--April 23, 2001--

FileNET System Automates Intranet Underwriting to Speed Policy Issuance and Improve Customer Satisfaction

FileNET Corp. , a leading provider of eProcess Management software solutions, announced today that AAA Missouri, a motor club serving more than 1 million members in seven states, has successfully deployed FileNET's Acenza Insurance, a powerful eBusiness, process automation application.
Deployed during the first quarter 2001, AAA Missouri's Web-based Acenza application automates the routing and processing of auto insurance applications in its Web-based auto quote and policy issuance system.
"FileNET's Acenza application alleviates the bottlenecks that occurred during the manual processing of online applications that required a more intensive, tailored underwriting review," said Bob Schreiber, vice president -- Insurance, AAA Missouri. "By automating our exception handling process, we believe that Acenza will help us improve customer service and processing efficiency and reduce cycle times for issuing auto insurance quotes and policies."
Based on FileNET's proven Panagon(TM) technology, Acenza Insurance is FileNET's new suite of eBusiness applications that extend business processes and associated content across the Web to increase operational efficiency and reduce cost. The Acenza Insurance product features complex process management routing, pending, matching of documents to files, and distribution functions, customizable to a specific insurance environment.
When AAA Missouri underwriters access the Acenza system, all of their assigned tasks and data have been consolidated by Acenza into one location where the information can be easily retrieved, reviewed, and acted upon appropriately.
"Acenza offers customers, such as AAA Missouri, a powerful, complete solution for automating the more complex aspects of insurance processing," said Martyn Christian, senior vice president, corporate marketing, FileNET.
"Acenza Insurance was designed to support the rapid deployment of Web-enabled insurance operations that link customers, agents/brokers and employees in shared processes and content. By streamlining business processes across the Web, Acenza can improve a company's competitive edge."
AAA Missouri introduced its Web-based auto application and policy issuance system to its agents in 2001, replacing an inefficient paper-based process. Agents can now submit applications online. AAA Missouri's Web portal automatically checks the information provided on the application against a variety of underwriting criteria, including motor vehicle records and credit history.
Because of the high volume of submissions, AAA Missouri incorporated the FileNET Acenza platform to streamline the handling of applications that fail to meet the company's automated underwriting guidelines. The Acenza application was designed and deployed by the FileNET Professional Services team, meeting AAA Missouri's system requirements within a rapid deployment timeframe for an even faster realization of ROI.
