Law's Run Short-Lived at PIR

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 20, 2001 (Phoenix, Arizona) - Darren Law's time in the #16 Mical Motorsports Porsche was over before it started. On lap eight of the Grand American Cup race, Law's co-driver, Al Wortzman, got together with another car, resulting in a spin into the wall.

"Al was doing a great job," Law stated. "The car was running great and we had a great chance to win today."

Law, who is third in the Grand Am Cup points standing, is optimistic about the next race.

"There was too much damage done to the car to get back into this race," Law said. "Hopefully we can get it back together and get ready for Watkins Glen."
