Sears Names Johnson Controls As Automotive Supplier of the
Year
MILWAUKEE, April 18 Johnson Controls, Inc. , a
leading global supplier of automotive and commercial batteries, has been
recognized by Sears, Roebuck and Co. as "Automotive Supplier of the Year" and
as a "Partner in Progress" award recipient for 2000.
Johnson Controls is one of seven suppliers that received Supplier of the
Year recognition from Sears in their respective product categories. Sears'
Partners in Progress award acknowledges the contributions of the retailer's
top one percent of its more than 10,000 product and service suppliers.
Johnson Controls was among 126 Partners in Progress award recipients. This is
the second consecutive year that Johnson Controls has received Partners in
Progress recognition from Sears.
In selecting Johnson Controls for the awards, Sears cited the company for
its continued high level of service and quality products. Johnson Controls is
the sole supplier of DieHard(R) automotive, light truck and marine batteries.
