Clarion Announces Changes in Senior Leadership

    GARDENA, Calif., April 18 Clarion Co., Ltd. Chairman
Ichizo Ishitsubo announced April 2, 2001 several organizational changes within
Clarion Corporation of America (CCA).  Mr. Ken Shimoda has been appointed
Chairman of CCA and Mr. Matt Matsuda has been appointed President of CCA.
Shimoda and Matsuda will replace Rick Tonari, who has returned to Japan to
continue his duties as President of Clarion Device Co., Ltd.
    Mr. Shimoda, who will report directly to CCA's Board of Directors, most
recently served Clarion Co., Ltd. as the President of Clarion Europe.  Mr.
Shimoda began his affiliation with CCA in 1974, most recently working with CCA
as Executive Vice President, OEM Sales until June 1994.  He will be based at
the Company's Gardena, California headquarters.
    Mr. Matsuda, currently Senior Vice President, Finance, will report
directly to Mr. Shimoda and will be directly responsible for all of the CCA
business and subsidiary business in the US and Canada, including Clarion's
well know McIntosh subsidiary.  Mr. Matsuda has served Clarion for 24 years.
    Mr. Chris Honma will succeed Mr. Matsuda as Vice President, Finance.  Mr.
Honma has contributed over 5 years of his experience to Clarion, most recently
serving as Assistant Vice President, Finance and Strategic Planning.
    "This new organizational structure will strengthen the capability of the
Clarion Americas Group to meet new and challenging business needs for the
future and to enable Clarion to be successful in all areas of its current and
future business activity," said Mr. Rick Tonari, outgoing CCA President and
CEO.
