Recreation USA Acquires Auction and Retail Facility in Florida

Orlando Site Will Host the Nation's Only Exclusive RV and Marine Auction

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., April 19 In a move to expand its
retail offerings, Holiday RV Superstores, Inc. announced today
that it plans to launch the nation's only exclusive recreational vehicle and
marine auction.
The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.-based RV and marine retailer, which is operating
under the tradename Recreation USA, said that it will acquire the RV and
marine division of Sanford Auto Dealers Exchange near Orlando, Fla. The
acquisition, which should be finalized later this spring, will give Recreation
USA its first outlet location -- as well as entry into the lucrative market of
retail and dealer auctions.
The Company's new location, which will be named the Recreation USA RV &
Marine Dealer Exchange & Outlet, is located on 14 acres in Sanford, Fla., just
north of Orlando. In addition to a retail facility where consumers can buy
and trade-in their used motorhomes and towable vehicles, the Dealer Exchange &
Outlet will host an auction open to the public and to dealers on the third
Saturday of each month.
"In keeping with our 'first-mover' status in the industry, we are excited
to launch the first -- and only -- auction solely dedicated to RV and marine
products in the country," said Marcus A. Lemonis, president of Recreation USA.
"Our new auction division will help improve our penetration of the critical
Florida RV market while strengthening the Recreation USA brand.
"Perhaps most importantly, the auction will give us a dedicated retail and
wholesale facility to serve as a clearinghouse for used RVs, which will
increase inventory turns at our 14 dealerships and eliminate potential old-age
inventory. Given the current market conditions, we feel we can appeal to a
broader range of consumers by offering a concentration of used products at a
single location, as well as our current mix of new and used vehicles."
Recreation USA has contracted with Sanford Auto Dealers, which will retain
its automotive auction, to facilitate its monthly RV and marine auction.
Sanford has a 22-year history in the auction business under the leadership of
owner and CEO Ron Brody.
"We are pleased to partner with such a respected industry leader as
Recreation USA to further expand the RV and marine auction," Brody said. "Our
expertise in the auction business, combined with Recreation USA's inventory
base and industry experience, will allow us to offer consumers and dealers an
unparalleled opportunity to locate and purchase some of the industry's best
used product."
Recreation USA plans to hold its first auction in the late spring. The
auction will be open to the public and to licensed dealers, who will have the
opportunity to bid on dozens of used Class A motorhomes, travel trailers,
fifth-wheels and boats, as well as jet skis, motorcycles and other
recreational vehicles. The Company plans to modify its already-successful Web
site to allow customers to preview vehicles prior to each auction.
Recreation USA plans to partner with nearly a dozen other select RV
dealers in an effort to "remarket" their used inventory. The Company is in
the final stages of signing agreements with several lending institutions to
remarket their repossessed vehicles.
"We stand to benefit by establishing relationships with other dealers in
our industry," Lemonis said. "We plan to continue our consolidation of the
industry this year by targeting arrangements such as this, which will be
accretive to earnings."
The Sanford facility joins Recreation USA as its first wholesale-retail
outlet; based on its success, the Company plans such additional facilities in
other key markets. The facility is located near Interstate 4, the main north-
south artery between Orlando and Daytona.
"Florida remains one of the best places to sell RVs in the United States,
so it makes perfect sense to expand our retail offerings in this critical
market," said Sam Thise, an executive general manager for Recreation USA.
"Used motorhomes and trailers continue to be popular sellers, and our new
location will establish Recreation USA as the leading sales force for quality,
used product in Florida.
"Our seven dealerships in Florida will ensure that consumers will be able
to find service for their vehicles when they need it, no matter where they are
traveling in the state."
About Recreation USA: With the addition of its new auction division,
Recreation USA will operate 15 dealerships in California, Florida, Kentucky,
New Mexico, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Recreation USA, the
nation's only publicly traded national retailer, sells, services and finances
more than 90 RV and 13 boat brands. The Company also markets its offerings
through its Internet site at http://www.RecUSA.com .
