INTERMET Declares Quarterly Dividend

    TROY, Mich., April 19 INTERMET Corporation
today announced that the company's Board of Directors declared a quarterly
dividend for the quarter ended March 31, 2001.  The quarterly dividend was
declared at $0.04 per share, payable June 29, 2001, to shareholders of record
as of June 1, 2001.
