PSR Phoenix Provisional Qualifying

PHOENIX, Ariz.. - Barney Moen, of Hesperia, Calif., had the fast lap for the first session of qualifying for Saturday's season-opening Pro Spec Racer race at Phoenix International Raceway. Steve Ott, of Brighton, Colo. and Lee Fleming, of Lakeforest, Calif. rounded out the top three.

Under cloudy conditions, Moen driving the No. 5 Moen Racing Spec Racer, led for most of the session and set a provisional qualifying record with a time 1:09.766 (78.175 mph).

Ott, driving the No. 48 LaRue Motorsports Spec Racer ran a quick lap of 1:09.795 (78.143 mph) late in the session to finish second. Finishing third was Fleming, the previous qualifying record holder with a time of 1:10:577 (77.278 mph) last year, in the No. 2 Champion Motorsports Spec Racer with a time of 1:09.817 (78.118 mph).
