Filter Manufacturers Council Elects New Officers

Larry Curtis Is Filter Manufacturers Council Chairman

Research Triangle Park, N.C. - Larry Curtis, vice president-aftermarket sales, ArvinMeritor Light Vehicle Aftermarket-Purolator, is the newly elected chairman of the Filter Manufacturers Council (FMC).

Other officers include: vice chairman - Joe Marlow, vice president-sales and marketing, Fleetguard-Nelson Inc., Nashville, Tenn.; secretary - Kathleen Edge, marketing services manager, Parker Hannifin/Racor, Modesto, Calif.; treasurer - Doug Parnell, vice president-sales and marketing, SPX Filtran, Des Plaines, Ill.

FMC, a product group of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), marks its 30th anniversary this year. Founded in 1971, FMC represents manufacturers of vehicular and industrial filtration products.

Founded in 1904, MEMA exclusively represents and serves more than 700 North American manufacturers of motor vehicle components, tools and equipment, automotive chemical and related products used in the production, repair and maintenance of all classes of motor vehicles. MEMA is headquartered in Research Triangle Park, N.C., and has offices in Washington, D.C.; Kansas City, Mo.; Yokohama, Japan; Brussels, Belgium; Mexico City, Mexico; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Original Equipment Suppliers Association (OESA), MEMA's affiliate association that serves automotive original equipment suppliers exclusively, is located in Troy, Mich.
