NASCAR WCUP: Sadler ready to gamble at Talladega . . along with the rest of the field

Elliott Sadler has no illusions going into Talladega this weekend. He has only one thing in mind when he talks about Sunday's race - getting through it. The Virginia driver left Martinsville tenth in points and hopes to come out of Alabama still in the top-ten.

ELLIOTT SADLER, -21- Motorcraft Ford Taurus -- "We're just looking forward to getting by the big wreck at Talladega. That's the main thing. We're not worried about qualifying. We're not worried about how we're going to race. I think we're going to race fine. It's just that we need to get by the big wreck. We know it's going to happen or we think it's going to happen so we just want to come out of there with a good finish and not lose many points.

"Talladega is a gambling track. Anything can happen. Its not really how good you run or not run because we're all going to bunched up together so it doesn't matter where you start or qualify. Track position is not that important. You just hope that everybody behaves all day and that you are around at the end.

"Last fall I was fourth down there at the end, and then got shuffled back to 15th. It was just one of those things. We just want to make it by there without wrecking and hopefully have a good points weekend and go on from there."
