LEBANON VALLEY OUTLAW SHOW ATTRACTS WIDE VARIETY OF FANS

APRIL 17, 2001 WEST LEBANON, NY - Nestled in a valley in the picturesque western Berkshire mountains one would expect to find old historical bed and breakfast's, antique shops filled with rare 19th century furniture and heirlooms and a fine five star restaurant. These are the attractions that normally draw vacationers or visitors to this area of Columbia county, NY. The unique attraction that sits among these others is Lebanon Valley Speedway. When the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Presented by CARQUEST Auto Parts makes its annual trek through New York one of the most anticipated stops is at the West Lebanon ½ mile facility. Besides bringing the best Sprint car drivers in the world to the track the Outlaws also draw fans from all across the Northeastern United States, Canada and merry old England. Ian Fowle from Nuneaton, Warrickshire in the United Kingdom has been making the trip across the pond to catch the World of Outlaws at Lebanon Valley for the past couple of years. I would say he is entitled to the prize for traveling the furthest distance. A large portion of the fans that come to the Outlaw show are from MA, CT, RI, VT, NH, ME and NY. Our fans from New England are primarily fans of pavement racing. It is not unusual to see people at the Outlaws wearing t-shirts representing Stafford Motor Speedway, Thompson Speedway, Wall Stadium, Beech Ridge Speedway, New Hampshire International Speedway and even some older shirts from Riverside Park Speedway. Many of the Northeast's top pavement drivers also are fans of the World of Outlaws and can be seen walking around the pits and the grandstands. Brian & Chris Ross, Ted & Mike Christopher, Scott Bouley and Beaver Dragon have all been seen at the Lebanon Valley World of Outlaws. Along with the sprinters Lebanon Valley also provides the fans with their premier division the Big Block Modifieds. These 700 horsepower monsters put on some of the best side-by-side racing anywhere and have everyone up on their feet cheering. The great racing, terrific food and affordable prices are the mainstay of Lebanon Valley. Many of the fans who originally came just to see the World of Outlaws return to the speedway to catch a regular Saturday night show even though they travel several hours to do so. What a great testament to the efforts of the Lebanon Valley staff and management. The Pennzoil World of Outlaws Sprint Cars Presented by CARQUEST Auto Parts will be at Lebanon Valley Speedway Memorial Day Monday May 28th. (Rain Date May 29) Gates open at 5pm with racing at 7pm. All seats are reserved and cost just $22 each. Please call the Outlaw Ticket Hotline at (518) 794-9606 or (518) 794-9965 to order your WOO Tickets today. More info visit www.lebanonvalley.com.
