Visteon Launches Panoz Agreement at New York Auto Show

NEW YORK, April 11 -- Visteon Corporation is expanding both its versatility as an integrated systems automotive supplier and its relationship with Panoz Auto Development Company by showcasing a demonstration vehicle at the New York Auto Show, which runs April 13 - 22. The Visteon-Panoz Esperante showpiece is a joint-development project that provides important benefits for both companies. Under the agreement, Visteon will obtain a platform on which to feature leading technologies for current or future Panoz vehicles. This will allow Visteon to demonstrate its ability to bring proven, new technologies to low-volume projects. In addition, Visteon gains valuable feedback about these technologies from their customers. At the same time, Panoz will gain access to Visteon's cutting-edge technologies, engineering expertise and extensive knowledge of testing and manufacturing techniques. More than 30 Visteon components and systems are currently featured on the Esperante, a luxurious and powerful convertible. With Visteon's help, the demonstration Esperante will combine classic styling with advanced technology. The Esperante will be used as a technology demonstration vehicle for various customer and corporate events throughout the year. Additional Visteon products and technologies will continue to be added to the more than 30 components and systems already featured on the Esperante.
