Apogee Enterprises Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend

    MINNEAPOLIS--April 13, 2001--The Board of Directors of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. announced it has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.0525 per share, payable May 16, 2001 to shareholders of record April 30, 2001. The company has approximately 27.8 million shares outstanding.

--	Large-scale optical technologies companies develop and produce high technology glass that enhances the visual performance of products for the display, imaging and picture framing industries.
