Hyundai Selects Interliant to Manage New Web Site; Auto Manufacturer Cites Interliant's Hosting Expertise, Security, and Cost Effectiveness as Key Criteria for Choice

PURCHASE, N.Y.--April 11, 2001--Hyundai Car (UK) Ltd, one of the fastest growing car companies in the UK, has chosen Interliant, Inc., a leading global application service provider (ASP), to provide a fully managed, dedicated hosting solution for the company's newly designed web site.
Under the terms of the contract, Interliant will provide a hosting solution for Hyundai, backed up with 24 x 7 support, high availability and robust security options, all operational from Interliant's UK data center. The web site will be hosted on a Dell Poweredge platform using Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) and also will link to Hyundai's own, internally hosted intranet.
"Our Web site plays an integral role in communicating Hyundai's activity and innovation in the auto industry, and having the site hosted by a trusted business partner such as Interliant is vital," said Jonathan Spence, Marketing Director, Hyundai Car (UK) Ltd. "Ultimately, the ability to provide our customers and dealers with reliable, up-to-the-minute information in the way they want to receive it - whether it be printed or electronically - is fundamental to the continued growth and success of Hyundai in the UK, and our Web site plays a significant role in that success.
"Interliant's customer-centric view and its ability to host and manage our web site securely, cost effectively, and within extremely short timescales was important for Hyundai," he said.
The Web site provides information on Hyundai dealers across the UK, cars, pricing, finance options, after-sales support and a view of concept and advanced technology cars that Hyundai has developed.
"Interliant understands the critical role that Hyundai's Web site plays in its marketing and communications strategy," said David Yuile, Managing Director, Interliant UK. "We provide Hyundai with the peace of mind that its online brand will be protected by one of the industry's most experienced ASPs. Our experience and reputation, coupled with an extremely high level of security and reliability, means that their Web site will be live and accessible to customers and dealers alike, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
