Federal-Mogul Tri-Way Ltd. Appoints James K. Campbell General Manager
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. & WINDSOR, Ontario--April 10, 2001--James K. Campbell has been appointed general manager, Federal-Mogul Tri-Way, Ltd. The announcement was made by Robert Claycomb, Vice President, Federal-Mogul Powertrain Systems. Campbell reports to Claycomb.Campbell will have responsibility for the general management of Federal-Mogul Tri-Way Ltd., a fully integrated producer of specially designed metal removal equipment based in Windsor, Ontario. His responsibilities include planning and implementing strategic direction, as well as overseeing sales, manufacturing, and research and development.
"Jim's appointment will help keep Federal-Mogul in the forefront of supplying complete powertrain systems to the world's engine manufacturers," Claycomb said. He noted that Campbell was formerly Tri-Way's director of sales and marketing. "Jim has already helped to better position us for leading the industry in the quest for lower cost, more robust, faster-to-market systems. As general manager, he will be instrumental in maximizing our combined analytical, manufacturing and system support capabilities."
Before joining Federal-Mogul in May 2000, Campbell was responsible for all sales activities within Ford Motor Company and DaimlerChrysler as account manager for Makino, Southfield, Mich. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales and marketing for Gidding & Lewis.
Campbell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Northwood University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He also studied mechanical engineering at Lawrence Institute of Technology and completed studies in executive sales management at Michigan State University. He has earned Crosby Quality Certification. Campbell is a resident of Troy, Mich.
