NAPA Filtration and Hydraulics Honored With ``Spirit of NAPA'' Award

ATLANTA--April 9, 2001--NAPA Filtration and Hydraulics, a division of Dana Corporation, has received the 2000 Spirit of NAPA Award. Since 1975 NAPA AUTO PARTS has presented the Spirit of NAPA Award to the NAPA manufacturer that has rendered the most outstanding service to the NAPA organization during the year. This year marks the fourth award for NAPA Filters.
"The Spirit of NAPA Award has become the most coveted award for a supplier in our business -- and rightly so," stated NAPA president Steve Handschuh. "The competition is intense and qualifications are tough."
Qualifying criteria include sales leadership, service, quality, NAPA program support, price competitiveness, technical support and training, merchandising, cataloging, and overall communication. The winner is determined by votes submitted by each of the 69 NAPA Distribution Centers.
"This year's winner earned more than three times the votes of the runner up," said Handschuh. "NAPA Filtration and Hydraulics has an excellent sales team and great product and have earned the respect of the entire NAPA organization."
The award was presented at the 2001 NAPA Automotive Parts Group managers meeting in Atlanta. Wix representatives on hand to accept the award included, Terry McCormack, president, Dana Aftermarket Group; Keith Wilson, Filtration Products Vice President and General Manager; John Washbish, president, Underhood Group and Dave McColley, National Sales Manager.
