TONY STEWART, NO. 20 HOME DEPOT PONTIAC GRAND PRIX:
"Considering the circumstances we had, as far as starting 16th, working our way to seventh and then having a pit stop where the jack came down and the air hose was underneath the tire, which took us from seventh to 26th - to work our way back up to seventh at the end of day, I'm proud of the guys. They never gave up. I never gave up. It felt good to run up front again."
(ON THE HEAT TODAY) "I got warm. But, we figured out some things last year at Homestead for when we get into situations like what we had today with the heat that really help out. We stuck to that game plan today, and every time we did something it worked. We just keep making it better and better for me in the car. I'm getting more confidence that even when we get to the really, really hot days this summer - days like today - that we're going to be fine."
(HOW IMPORTANT WAS IT FOR YOU TO GET A GOOD FINISH TODAY?) "Considering we've got a weekend off, we needed to have a good run here just to keep the team up through the holiday. They've all worked hard and they all deserve it."
