Long Beach, Calif. - The Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup and the Panoz\Sanchez Group (PSG) today annouced that it has signed a strategic marketing agreement with August Bishop LLC to develop and implement a concerted multi-faceted campaign geared towards youth culture.
“August Bishop brings strong relationships and an understanding of what drives the youth market to the Trans-Am Series,” said PSG vice president of marketing Bob Wild. “We are confident that they will be able to help us broaden the ‘Trans-Am brand’ to new targeted markets.”
August Bishop was founded in 1995 by Dexter Wimberly and Barney A. Bishop. A multi-faceted, full service media and marketing agency, August Bishop aids large corporations in their endeavors to understand and capture the loyalties of America’s youth market.
Some of August Bishop’s clients past and present include Getmusic.com, Guinness World Records, Ocean Pacific, The Coca-Cola Company, Benetton USA, HBO (Time Warner) and Stuff Magazine. August Bishop was also instrumental in a pair of public relations projects for Adidas America, the KOBE, a signature basketball sneaker from Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant and the launch of an Adidas fashion-performance sneaker, the SL (Sport-Luxury).
“We are very delighted to be in this new relationship with the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup,” said Wimberly, CEO of August Bishop LLC. “Our expertise in marketing products to ‘young America’ can bring many great opportunities to bear. There is no denying the importance of tapping into the youth market, and we think that the Trans-Am Series has what it takes to be a hot youth culture brand.”
Round two of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup, the Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green, will start at 3:45 p.m. (PDT) tomorrow afternoon. Round one of the series was won by Boris Said on March 16 at Sebring, Fla.
