Miami -- The Panoz\Sanchez Group (PSG) and the Trans-Am Series today announced that Simple Green, the world's leading product line of environmentally safe cleaning products, will be the presenting sponsor of the upcoming Johnson Controls 100 on April 8 in Long Beach, Calif.
“We’re excited that Simple Green will be part of this weekend’s race in Long Beach,” said executive director John Clagett. “The Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green is one of our most prestigious races of the season. Simple Green’s involvement makes it possible for us to enhance the presence of the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup at one of the premier motorsports events, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.”
In addition, the Trans-Am Series’ Simple Green Clean-Up Award will be a $5,000 cash bonus that goes to the driver who “cleans-up” at the Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green by earning the pole position, posting the fastest race lap, leading the most laps and winning the race.
“We’re pleased to bring our corporate philosophy of quality, environmentally sensitive products to the Trans-Am Series for the BFGoodrich Tires Cup,” said Mark Carter, Simple Green Director of Marketing. “Our sponsorship of the upcoming Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green will maximize race fans’ exposure to Simple Green while allowing us to give back to the public in a variety of ways—from helping improve emergency response efficiency to environmental clean-up.”
