Borden Chemical, Inc. and Delta-HA, Inc. Combine Foundry Businesses To Form HA-International, LLC

CHICAGO--April 6, 2001--Borden Chemical, Inc. and Delta-HA, Inc. announced today that they have merged their North American foundry businesses into a new company called HA-International, LLC.
The businesses produce phenolic resins and related chemical products used by foundries in the manufacture of cast metal parts. Combined annual sales are approximately $175 million.
Keith McLean, formerly Borden Chemical's vice president for foundry resins, has been named chief executive officer of HA-International, which will be headquartered in Chicago.
"HA-International combines Borden Chemical's and Delta's leading-edge foundry technology, manufacturing capabilities and technical support into a single source that can best serve today's modern foundries," McLean said.     The new company has established its own board of directors and management team and is owned by Borden Chemical Foundry, Inc. and Delta-HA, McLean said.
