Homestead Test Day Notes

Notes from Thursday's Test Day

- No. 7 Vannina Ickx and No. 69 Billy Asaro had contact exiting corner three. No. 7 suffered damage to the right rear corner of the car and did not continue the rest of the morning session. No. 69 suffered damage to the left front of the car and rejoined the session after repairs.

- No. 5 Arie luyendyk Jr. suffered damage to the radiator and right front of the car after striking a headrest on the back straightaway.

- No. 18 Alexander Figge engine expires. The team puts a new engine in and resumes testing in the afternoon session.

- No. 44 Paul Dana spun twice in the morning session, slightly damaging the undertray.

- No. 33 Tom Dyer and No. 25 Arnold Brinkmann changed their gears during the morning session.

- No. 19 Urlin spun late in the day into the gravel trap.

- At the end of the days testing No. 89 Jason LaPoint, No. 55 Memo Rojas Jr., No. 6 Tonis Kasemets, No. 3 Doug Bell were quickest unofficially in the 44.3 second lap range.

- U.S. F2000 National Championship oval starter Phil Jerominski will undergo emergency sugery for kidney stones this evening at Homestead hospital. Indy Racing Northern Light Series starters Brian Howard or Paul Blevin will replace Jerominski.
