Internet Operations Center Inc.'s Director of
Business Development Appointed to Chair SAE International
Technology Committee
Eric Head to Lead Information Technology Committee
For International Society of Automotive Engineers
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., April 3 Internet Operations Center
Inc., a leading application services provider focused on e-business solutions,
announced today that ("IOC") director of business development Eric Head, has
been selected to serve as Chair of the International Society of Automotive
Engineers ("SAE") Information Technology Committee.
"The International Society of Automotive Engineers is a dominant player in
promoting technical education and facilitating open discussion of issues and
topics of interest to the entire automotive industry. Eric will be a dynamic
leader of the Information Technology committee," said IOC president Bill
Walles.
SAE is currently the only auto industry-centric body that can effectively
direct the discussion and study of the Information Technology tools required
to enable automotive companies to become more efficient and effective. These
tools play a vital role in a company's efforts to meet the necessity of
reinventing the business process with use of the Internet.
"Because of the increased utilization of information technology in
manufacturing, it is important for SAE to be able to present timely and
valuable information on the topic as part of its manufacturing technical
programs. SAE established its manufacturing initiative in 1995. The
information technology committee was formed to support this initiative. We
look to this committee to give SAE guidance and direct its efforts regarding
information technology in manufacturing. We are looking forward to Eric's
input and leadership to this important committee," said SAE division manager
of engineering meetings Dave Porecca.
Prior to joining IOC, Head served as marketing and senior territory
manager in the Detroit office of the Brady Corporation, where he provided
value-added bar code systems to the automotive industry and was awarded
"Innovator of the Year" three years in a row for generating new product ideas.
Head joined the Brady Corporation in 1990, and served in several other
positions, including systems specialist in Detroit, district territory manager
in Cincinnati, and territory manager in Los Angeles.
