IRVINE, Calif., April 3 QUANTUM Technologies, Inc., a

announced that it has developed a natural gas fuel system for the first
General Motors (GM) Chevrolet Zafira produced at the GM Thailand Assembly
Center in Thailand's Rayong Province. The Zafira MPV (or compact van) is

Recently GM Thailand announced that it signed a letter of intent with the
Petroleum Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Science, Technology and
Environment, for a pilot study to verify the commercial production of
Thailand-produced Zafiras. GM said Thailand was the natural choice for the
pilot study under GM's Global Alternative Fuel Project because of its abundant
resources of natural gas, as published in The Wall Street Journal Interactive
Edition, March 28, 2001.

QUANTUM is a world leader in the development of hydrogen, compressed
natural gas (CNG) and propane (LPG) handling and advanced gaseous storage
system technologies for manufacturers of fuel cell and internal combustion
engines.
