Land Rover Reports March Sales Increase
Discovery Series II Sales Increase of 12 Percent
Attributed to New 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee Program
LANHAM, Md., April 3 Land Rover North America, Inc. has
reported March 2001 U.S. sales of 2,107 units, representing a 2.5-percent
increase over March 2000. There were 358 Range Rovers and 1,749 Discovery
Series II vehicles sold in the U.S. during the period. U.S. sales of Land
Rover's Discovery Series II model increased 12 percent in March 2001 versus
the previous March.
"Our March sales increase can be attributed to Land Rover's new 30-Day
Money-Back Guarantee program and our attractive Discovery Series II financing
packages, including both the 4.9-percent APR financing special and the $399-
per-month lease program," said Peter Miles, vice president, field operations
for Land Rover North America, Inc. "These programs will remain in place
through May 31.
