Yazaki Names Lynn Weaver Director of Associate Relations

    CANTON, Mich., April 2 Yazaki North America, Inc.
(Yazaki), a leading supplier of vehicle power and data solutions to the
automotive industry, announced today the appointment of Lynn E. Weaver as
director of associate relations for Yazaki's Human Resources Department.

    In her new position, Weaver will be responsible for designing and
implementing programs that will benefit Yazaki's North American associates.
Weaver will lead initiatives focused on the work environment, recognition,
resource planning and staffing, associate development and internal
communications.  One of Weaver's more immediate goals is to establish a
performance management program and a succession planning process that will
assist associates in identifying and achieving long-term career goals with
Yazaki.
    "The addition of Lynn Weaver brings tremendous depth to our human
resources team," said Haley.  "She brings with her a wealth of experience in
issues relating to corporate culture, change management, associate relations
and retention; areas that Yazaki considers critical."
    Before joining Yazaki, Weaver held administrative, sales, quality, and
human resources management positions at Federal-Mogul and Xerox Corporation.
In the course of her 28 year career, Weaver has managed a major organizational
design change impacting over 30,000 employees; managed regional compensation
for 4,000 employees; and served on a national team that centralized human
resources administrative functions from over 60 locations.
    Weaver holds a bachelor of science degree and a masters in business
administration, both earned at Michigan State University.  She is a member of
the NAACP, the Urban League, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Links, Inc.
