MIDGET CARS HEAD FOR IRWINDALE SATURDAY
Thomas Meseraull of San Jose, Calif. leads the USAC WorldCom Western Midget Car series into Saturday night's events at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway after winning Sunday afternoon's 30-lap race at the Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway.
Meseraull, who scored his initial USAC victory last September at Bakersfield, Calif., led the final 15 laps of Sunday's Stockton feature in his Independent Construction Gaerte/Beast. A 30-lap feature caps the Irwindale program, which starts with practice at 2:30 pm.
