Johnny Benson's third-place finish last Sunday at Texas in the Eagle One Pontiac, owned by Valvoline Racing, moved him from fourth to third in the NASCAR Winston Cup point standings. It was Benson's best result of the season and his fifth top-seven in seven races.

NASCAR: Benson Flying Eagle One Colors 3 Times

Johnny Benson is flying the black-and-white colors of Eagle One car care products three times in April. The usual blue-and-white No. 10 Valvoline Pontiac first took on the different look last Sunday in Texas, and that will continue in this Sunday's (April 8) race at Martinsville, and again April 29 in the NAPA Auto Parts 500 at California Speedway. The color and graphics presentation on Benson's No. 10 is almost identical to the new Eagle One "Screaming Eagle" design carried by Ron Krisher's Eagle One Chevrolet Cavalier in the NHRA Winston Pro Stock drag racing class. Eagle One, which markets a premium line of waxes, polishes and finishing products, is owned by Valvoline.
