Truck Outfitters Launches Second Area Store
WEXFORD, Pa.--April 2, 2001--Pittsburgh-based Truck Outfitters will celebrate the grand opening of their second area store on April 7.The new store, located at 11360 Route 19 in Wexford, features accessories for trucks and SUVs.
Truck Outfitters, a privately held company, plans to open three additional stores in the Western Pennsylvania area by the end of 2002.
"We're excited to be opening this store in Wexford," said operations director, Richard McMahon. "There is a tremendous demand for aftermarket accessories as owners customize their trucks to suit their needs for work, sports, comfort, safety, performance or appearance. Truck drivers are individuals who like to express themselves through their vehicles."
Both the Wexford and Bridgeville stores offer on-site installation of hundreds of brand name accessories for trucks and SUVs.
Nationally trucks and SUVs represent 50% of all vehicles sold today according to Wards Auto Infobank. The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) estimates the booming aftermarket industry to be worth about 29 billion dollars a year.
During the grand opening celebration, Wexford store manager, Fred Dillar, will display his Dodge truck, last shown at the World of Wheels Custom Car Show. Other activities will include giveaways from accessory manufacturers Auto VentShade, Sportmaster, and Waag. Visitors at both stores have a chance to enter a contest for a thousand dollar truck makeover to be announced on WDVE at the end of the month. WDVE will be on hand in Wexford with a live remote from 2-4 PM.
Special activities will also be happening in the Bridgeville store according to Dawn Morris, the Bridgeville manager.
Truck Outfitters, founded and headquartered in Pittsburgh, caters to truck and SUV owners who want to take their trucks to the extreme. The company currently has two area locations -- 1900 Painters Run Road in Bridgeville and the new store in Wexford.
